Mesa Vista - my BaCC for fun: Week 3, Part 5(a)

I am happy to announce that this will be the final installment for Week 3! Finally!

Over at the home of our founder, Ryan Adams was running to catch the school bus after getting sidetracked by one of the wolves that frequently visit the residents of Mesa Vista.

His mom Nikki gave birth to her third child, another boy they named Josh.

That Nikki, she loved having babies.

"Are you sure you don't want me to quit by job?" Nikki asked Zach. "I'm quite happy to stay home with the boys if you want to go to work instead."
"Do you want to quit?"
"I want what you want, darling."
"Right now there's nothing available that interests me or frankly can compare to your salary..." he said, his eyes lowering a bit.

She blushed a little under his scrutiny.
"Have I told you how much I love successful women, especially when that woman happens to be my wife?"
Nikki giggled in delight. "You have now."

"Darling, I have to go, but tonight... there's something I want desperately from you," she murmured against his fingers.
"Are we..?"
"Tonight." She touched his palm lightly with the tip of her tongue before walking out to catch her limo.

"It's tonight, Nikki."
"Baby time, Zach!"

The next morning Zach stood holding baby Josh and wondered not for the first time why he actually wanted another baby.
"Man, our house sucks," Quincy announced out of the blue.
"Where are your manners! That's a terrible thing to say about our home."
"It is kinda crowded, Mom," Ryan said.
"Even our class room at school is less junky!" Quincy piled on disdainfully.
"You know, it isn't easy when..." Nikki began, her tone defensive.
"You're right, boys," Zach cut in, "this is not the way a founding family with plenty of money should be living."
"Zach?"
"I want everyone to give some thought to this and we'll decide next week whether to fix this place up properly or move to a bigger house."
"Yay!" the twins cheered in unison.
Nikki felt a familiar lurch in her stomach and stood up. "Excuse me, guys."

When Nikki was finished, she looked around the tiny, homely bathroom and felt a little thrill for what awaited them next week...

But first things first, and first up was Josh's birthday.

Who happened to look a lot like Ryan with brown hair.

"Can I go to a friend's house after school tomorrow? I'm sorry I said our house sucked."
"Yes you can, provided you get into your pajamas and we play a game of chess tonight."

"How did you get so good?"
"There's no room for regular toys in our house?"
"Does that mean you're excited for next week?"
"Yeah, are you?"
"Yes, a lot."

"Mom, we're too big for this."
"Shush, and smile! This is for posterity, you know."
"Then maybe you should've changed out of your workout clothes, dear," Zach teased.
"I should. I'll be back in just a few minutes."
"NO!" the boys cried.

It doesn't look like it here, but a much happier Quincy caught the school bus the next morning...

... and ended up riding the school bus home with (Little) Neil Outside, whose family owned Outside Outfitters.

"No fair, she missed my birthday, she's writing my family all out of order. I'm calling the cops!"

Now here's the deal: Neil Outside has a whopping one Nice point in a sea of Nice points, and I ain't messing with him... or maybe I just think he's really cute. Either works.

So we go back to when Neil was still a wittle toddler.

Doing cute toddler stuff like playing with his youngest sister Emily.

Playing one week at a time really hit home how fast they grow up, and before I knew it, it was time for Neil's birthday.

Since I played a toddler for such a short time, the carpet strips from Pets worked out great.

Neil immediately went outside to express his inner hellion.

It was at this point that I left the family primarily on free will and snapped pictures for a couple of days.

Ciel was a Pleasure Sim in my Apocalypse, but I switched her to Family with Pleasure secondary for my BaCC since she had totally maxed out Jumping on the Couch and Juggling.
Here she wanted three of her kids to graduate from college and rolled a want each day to prepare her family a meal.

The sea of Nice points:
Left: Nicole 10, Emily 9, Nemo 10, Mina 7 vs. Right: Neil 1, Ciel 3.
Playful points: Nicole 9, Emily 8, Nemo 5, Mina 9, Neil 9, Ciel 9.

This basically translates into a fun family of good skillers.

Nemo spent a lot of time doing stuff like this.

And this.

Ciel is very active and did a good job making sure her kids were prepared for Uni.

Emily's birthday! (Did I mention the week flew by?)

Time was running out and the oldest girls really had to get working on some scholarships. Nicole is Pleasure and didn't balk at all at working on her Creativity.

Neil's toddler bedroom converted easily into a study. This was my first time using the drafting table.

"You guys are crazy!"
I like listening to Sims radio stations, but I don't like the constant autonomous smustling, which is why I also don't do bathtubs (too much wasted time) with this highly playful family.

Mina is Fortune like her dad and wants to be Chief of Staff. Neither she nor her sister Nicole hit it off with the boys they brought home from school (no one except Neil is super Outgoing), so Mina worked mainly to keep up her aspiration.

A teenage EMT!

"Gee, Mom, you think you guys could take that somewhere else?"

A post date-night kiss for good luck...

Besides chronic playing with his kids, Nemo was also working in the Architecture career for his LTW to become a City Planner, and by the end of the week got promoted to Level 8. I expect he'll become the second perma-plat resident of Mesa Vista, behind Marie Sims.

Yup, exactly the reason why I don't mess with Neil...

Busted!
"How many times do we have to tell you, you can't play on the computer ALL THE TIME? It's an older model and it just can't handle it?"
"I'm sorry, I kinda forgot..."
"Go outside, get some fresh air!"

Nicole couldn't care less if she went to college, but she did care about becoming a Game Designer! Hmm, maybe college would be pretty fun after all...

We return to the Adams', where Quincy was back home, and Zach was on his way out.
"Nikki, I'm going for a walk."

One bathroom for five Sims meant very little privacy for such things, and Nikki took advantage of Zach's absence to take nice long bubble bath.

Aww, yes they do, especially the ones you really enjoy playing.
Thanks for reading!

I like you style of telling more than one story in each update, even if it makes me a bit confused with who belongs where :)

Thank you, and I'll try to make it a little less confusing when I switch between households. :)
