Hope you all are enjoying the holidays!
Hot off this weekend's gameplay, I present the Greens, Mesa Vista's newest newcomers.
(And two updates in two months - go me!)

Welcome back to Mesa Vista, and introducing its newest newcomers, the Greens!

The Greens actually moved into Zach Adams' founding house a while ago, but this looks like the original lot I downloaded from MTS, not his remodeled one, so, um, I can't remember what I did exactly. Moving along...

They added back the extension on the left and made it their own, or in other words, green.

They're also actually next-door neighbors to the Adams.

Here they are, Hunter and Jade Green, two random CAS Sims.
(I was grasping at straws trying to make a unique CAS family - sue me!)
Oh yes, info!
Hunter is a straight-up Virgo 9/2/6/3/5, Popularity with a LTW to be a Media Magnate.
Jade is a straight-up Gemini 3/7/8/3/3, Fortune with a LTW to Earn §100,000.

The remodeled interior: I tried to keep it mostly at wall covers and kitchen/bathroom fixtures, and there's probably more 'splaining about the room on the left.

For the Greens, it was their hukk...
"Inspiration room!"

Riiiight...

A hukkah d...
"Inspiration room!"
riiiiight, open for business!
(Hey, they needed money - sue me!)

There was also much digging for treasure to be done, and Jade had to deal with three tree fires at the tune of -2000 aspiration points a pop.

This update is light on pictures, so suffice it to say Jade struck way more water mains than buried treasure, though all the bones she dug up gave me the idea for a business for her. Hunter had better luck, getting a lot less wet and discovering several treasure maps.

It didn't take long for some familiar faces to get inspired!

*Gasp!* Mina, what would your dad say, and Ryan (Nellie's stepdad), I'm shocked!

Er, okay, Madeline Mazza (Nellie's mom) too - moving along...

Some like Jill Fleig (or me) weren't really interested in partaking.

Same with Lindsay Louie. I probably broke the rules in Carl Homeless's challenge by letting him gain cheap entrance, but I'm not sure I'll be able to pass that challenge anyway, though I still plan to give it my best shot.

Jill's housemate Ramin Johnston (or me) was too worried about getting caught.

The Greens, however, knew their stuff when they chose to live in Mesa Vista. Sure, there were several openings in Law Enforcement available, but no takers yet, and the Law itself was fortuitively absent. Haha!

"Yeah, we're so getting busted, ahahahahahah!"
S-S-Steve?! (my son's simself)

Still with that adventurous streak, eh, Faith Goodie?

*GASP* Herbert! What would the social worker think?!
As for Yvette Tan, I say go, girl! We're going to need all the inspiration she can get for the next time I play her :P

Oh, and speaking of Jenna Ebadi, a.k.a. the town grump: way to go, Hunter! (Or was it the bubbles?) Whatever, one of them managed to totally win her over, and I've been curious to see what makes her tick, so I hope to move her in with the Greens next week.

The Green's hookah...
"Inshpirashun"
den was an easy way to earn a little side money with the price set to Cheap = §9 per hour so they didn't have to do any selling or any work at all, really. I mean, who has time to work when you're constantly brushing your teeth! Like both of them... all the flipping time.

I locked the sliding door between the "inspiration room" and main house, and while many of the customers exited through the house's front door, they didn't disturb anything ever, so it could run 24/7. It didn't generate a whole lot of money, but with the Greens being house rich (kinda) and cash poor, every little bit helped - a lot.

Hunter took a job as a Military recruit, giving them a very welcome infusion of cash when he got promoted.

He initially had a want to get a job in the Business career, which I had locked, and ended the week as a Junior Executive.
That's one reason I like to move in townies, so you don't have to earn skills and friends from scratch.

Jade snagged the only available job opening in Slacker - I think she would be a perfect Professional Party Guest, and eventually I would like that for both of them. She got gypped out of a promotion IMO, and ended the week still as a Gas Station Attendant. But what's the rush, huh?

On Friday, Jade finally found a treasure chest, which gave her what she needed to buy her business.
This picture is also an excuse to show off my lovely new moon (sometimes there are even two), thanks to Nopke's skyFix http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=569032 - I love it!
Okay, down to business:

Say hello to Mesa Vista Hot Springs!

Hunter came along to help *grin*
"Hey, I help."

"Don't let her get to ya, babe, I know you do."

"Bones? I don't get it."

"Ah yes, the bones. See those skeletal remains over there, the ones that fade if you try to get too close? Yeah, I got the bones from there! You can buy bonafide, haha, simosaur bones right here!"

"Simosaur" bones were a pretty big hit with the locals.

The hot springs was a hit too and also a rather nice business for the owner to run, as it raises both Fun and Hygiene.

"Hey, you guys bring any cheese?"
By all means, help yourself, Joe Graham!

"Can you believe the sorry state of music nowadays?"
"Have you listened to College Rock lately? Still good after all these years..."

"Nah, I'm just messin' with ya."
Grrr. Jade had a huge want to get a good review, so naturally the reviewer decided to be stingy with them.

Prices were kept cheap to level up for the cash perks, and because I was enjoying the rather relaxing play session and snapping pics here and there.
Btw, Hunter, you could direct traffic with those buns!

And then it started to rain, and a shockingly good time was soon to be had by all.

First up was Armando Cox.

"Are there any sandwiches left?"

Jill Smith: "Save one for me!"

And then Stephan Shin.

And then pretty-boy Troy who will definitely be moving in one of these days...

Next up was Faith Goodie.

And finally, the coup de grâce, Camryn Lee!
"Are you effing kidding me?!"

Take a bow, Camryn!
(Sorry, I know she's had a rough go of it with her wacky abduction at Steve Burns's house and all, but I laughed so hard at this!)

Later on, Jill Smith came back for more, but the business had reached Level 3, giving Jade ten thousand simoleons, more than enough for the Greens to pay their taxes.
"Woot, no more digging!"
Woot is right!

"Home, hot stuff, you know what that means..."

Oh god, yes *eyeroll*

The hookah
*silence*
business continued to pick up steam. And wow, Jill Smith. Looks like she'll find a way to unwind, even if it kills her.

"I had a great week."
"Me too."
Me three!

"Say goodnight."
"Goodnight."
Goodbye you two, see you next week.
"We weren't talking to you."

That ends my shockingly good week with the Greens - I managed to play and update with them in three days. How's that for a shock, for sure I am!
BaCC quick stats:
Playable Sims: 80 (79 + 1 grave) added Hunter and Jade Green (earned CAS)
Sim Multiplier: 33
Population: 2640
Thanks for reading and Happy Simming!
